Tbe Fntnre ot Florence. FLOEBNCE, April 27.—Florence baa progressed amazingly within (be past few years. The time has not been long since it was a town of a few hundred inhabitants; now It claims to bare a population of about 3,500. It is by no means a flolshed city. Five new brick stores are in contemplation and will soon be under way. To facilitate busi ness Florence sadly needs s bank. It is qaite likely that this want will •non be supplied. This town also hungers and thirsts after tbe honor and emolument of being the county ■sot of a new connty. My infor mation on this point warrants the statement that another effort will be made to accomplish this result at tbe next session of tbe Legisla ture. Tbe citizens ot Florence have fsith in the fntuie of their city. They believe that the time is ap- preaebing when if will rank among tbe largest cities in tbe State in population and wealth. This good ume would be hastened by the es tablishment ot some manufacturing -B. m’l., in Columbia tier. r#*T Z 4 *' Now is your chance I Only (35 buys a handsome doable-c *8** gems’ solid gold A led stem winding Wal Ilium Whic i, finely engraved and beautiful in design.
