EBENEZER. —The cemetery at Hopewell Chnreb in Marion County speaks volumns for the pioneers of that seetion now sleeping beneath its qaiet shades and their living de scendants watchful care over their sacred dost. The grounds are a model of taste, neat and carefully kept, with a wealth of marble that baa taxed the sculptures’ skill. On a plain slab the following epitaph ia engraved, which is brsvity itself, recording th e ebarater and incidents in an evantfnl life. From childhood to maturer years it was my privi lege to meet this good man every Sabbath and memory of bis kindly face and gentle manners will ever linger with me: “Hector Cameron, sleeps bare. Born, Nov. 16 1798, died March 30, 1860. He held the name, the blood, the princely coorage and gener oaity of lochiel, noblest of the Celts, his mighty kinsman.
