spread at any time, but as that
takes longer to dissolve than tbe

application of commercial manures,
if it ia a fair year for cultivation, is
to make a big weed—the manure is

boMa. We have heard some very
good farmers say, ^ive me a big
weed and 1 am certain of a good
crop,* hot oar experience is differ
ent. We do not care to see cotton
more than three feet high, aud one
cf the best crops for the laud we
ever saw did not average more than
two. It is very pleasant we know
to look oe a big weed and imagine
to be proportionate

forage for horse and cattle food.
