We clip the following from the Carroll County Times:?Again wc are called upon to chronicle Deaths doings in our midst.?Mrs. Kramer wife of E.G. Kra mer one of our most prominent merchants died at her home in this place, at 1 o'clock on last Tuesday morning.?She was buried at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening and her remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of our citizens. Mr. Kramer, in his heavy affliction, has the profouudest sympathy of this entire community. All who re member Mrs. Kramer unite in expressing their sympathy for Mr. Kramer in bis tore bereavement. , New Post Office. Tho Post Office lins been moved to the most central location in town: opposite Moseley Crook & Copes and is fitted up better than any Post Office that has ev3r been in Orangeburg. The polite Post master with hisattentivo assistant Mr. S. Bull, seem happy, for they now have breathing space in their commodious office. We heard ono man say that it was the best Post Office in the State out side of Charleston or Columbia, and we believed him. New Firm. Messrs McMichucl and Blume have opened at Mr. W. A. Meroncys old stand; they have on hand a slock of goods which they arc selling very low, particularly Dry Goods which they arc selling below cost. As these Gentlemen have just started in business under most favorable circumstances they arc sure of succeed ing. Give them a call, for they have finescgnrs which they arc selling cheap and are worth double the money; they also have cheroots and smoking tobacco as cheap, if not cheaper than any where else. Thier liquors are of the host qual ity and ofa delightful flavor. Sec their advertisement in another column. Funny Fellows. C Some of the gentlemen of Orangeburg, formed themselves into a Dramatic Club. The organization is called the Funny Fellows, and they propose to offer fun to the inhabitants of the town during the summer,in a series of entertainments. The object of the club is to raise money enough to buy instruments for a Brass Band. The club is composed of the right sort of men and it has a fair prospect of success. Some of the members although amateurs understand all about mUsic;&c. and about conducting such an enterprise; and judging from the meeting, we think tabt it is sure to be a success. In aim- s all the towns of the State the young men have such organizations, and as Orange burg can boast 'of its much talent as any other town of its size, we don't see w hy it cannot succeed.
