Apply it with a brush to the fractured edge of the China, and stick them together. In a few days it will be impossible to break the article in the same place. ' Murder of John BtKrsosr.?On Sat ?trrday night between seven and eight o'clock, ah altercation occurred at the co-operative store, near tlie Charlotte Railroad Depot, between John Simpson, white, and Bill Lucius, William Dennis and Hans Bridges, colored, which re sulted in the .stabbing of Sampson with n pocket knife by Lucas, which caused his death in a few moments. It seems that the parties went into the co-operative store in company, nil of them more or loss under the influence of liquor, cursing and swearing, and while procur iug some article called for, some words passed between Simpson nnd Lucas about powder and shot, w hich one of the party was to procure at Hamburg's. The ne gro Lucas becoming noisy and threaten ing to fight, was'put out of the store by the clerks, and Simpson passed out at the same time, in spite of tbe effort to keep him in. In a few moments those in the store heard a scuffle outside, and on run ning out, saw Simpson held by Dennis, and struck by Lucas with the knife. Simpson staggered into the door of the store, where be fell and was assisted to the counter, when he remarked that he was hurt, and after sitting about a minute he fell to the lloor, and on being raised up it was found that life was extinct. An inquest was held on Sunday night, by Coroner Colcman, and a verdict found in accordance with these facts, that the deceased was killed by a weapon in the hands of Lucas, and that Dennis was found aiding and abcting the murderer, ind they .were committed to jail for trial. Simpson was a tinner, employed at the shops of the Charlotte Railroad, and was a dissipated man. A short time since be .connected himself with the Sons of Tem perance iu.this city, but soon icturncd to his former habits, and his untimely end is the result.
