Miss Mary Spotts Miss Mary Elizabeth Spotts, 64, of 337 Crosson St., died Tuesday. Bom in Abbeville County, daughter of the late George J. and Tommie Smith Spotts, she was a retired beautician in New York and a Baptist. Surviving are three brothers, Fuller Spotts of Newberry, Ben Spotts of Hyattsville, Md., and George Spotts of Orlando, Fla., tour sisters, Mrs. Annie Chap pells, Mrs. Boyd Clamp of New berry, Mrs. C. V. Tenny of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Ern est Longshore of Columbus, Ga. the past 4 years and was a re tired dairy and chicken farmer. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Hunt Memorial Baptist Church of Newberry. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Viola Bedenbaugh Smith; two sons, Bill Smith of Newberry and Larry Smith of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Ora Lee Bo- die of Newberry and Mrs. Ro bert D. Smith of Columbia; and a brother, J. P. Smith of Saluda; also five grandchildren. Services were Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home with burial in Rosemont Ceme tery, Clinton. William B. Smith William Beattie Smith, 56, of Clinton, died Sunday in a Co lumbia hospital after a long illness. A native of Saluda County, he was a son of the late An drew and Ada Herring Smith.
