Boone of Chapin who played on the line in the late 1940’s and Stanley Bessinger of Co lumbia who played fullback and linebacker in the early 1950’s are coordinating the plans for the Loyalty Bowl non-game. The two former atheletes and their committee plan to contact the former Newberry College football, basketball, and base ball players and other sports fans and sell them the tickets to Newberry’s own “All-Star” Game. The proceeds from the ticket sale to the Loyalty Bowl non game will go to the Indian Club, the College’s sports boo ster organization, for use in the athletics scholarship program. “Although we are giving the proceeds to the Indian Club for their use,” Boone and Bessin ger said, “The purchase of tic kets to the pretend game will not entitle the ticket buyers membership in the Indian Club.” The first tickets for the Newberry offensive and defen sive Loyalty Bowl will be sold at Saturday’s Homecoming game against Mars Hill. “This is going to be primar ily a person-to-person project,” the idea’s sponsors said, “for the Indian fans to show thier appreciation to Newberry’s coaching staff and players for their fine showing this year on the football gridiron, basket ball court, and baseball dia-- mond.” Hancox receives Air Force medal Captain Charles T.
