KOCH (Billy)—A 5’10” 170 pound Senior. He is co-Capt. of the 1970-71 squad. He is the son of Rev. and Mrs. John H. Koch of 1307 Drayton Street. At the defensive linebacker po sition Billy saw action in Saturdays game against Emory and Henry. He was instrumental in breaking up sev eral crucial Wasp passes. Billy is in his fourth year on the Indian squad and is a valuable asset to the defensive team. JULIAN W. NICHOLS (Wade) — A 6'0” 195 pound junior from Silver- street, Wade did a fine job at defensive end in the Emory and Henry game. Wade is at the starting spot for the second year at Newberry. GREGORY ALAN HARTLE (Greg) — A 6’2” Freshman, Gregory weighs 200 pounds and is the son of Mrs. N. M. Hartle of 726 Boundary Street. Coach Fred Herren looks for great things to come from his freshman defensive end. He will have a big road to hold if Wade Nichols becomes unable to play, as he is the reserve defensive end. Coach Robertson is pleased with the progress that this young brave is making.
