C Kleckley rites Tuesday David Cecil Kleckley, 63, of Rt. 1, Prosperity, died Sunday night at Newberry County Mem orial Hospital. Born in Newberry County, he was a son of the late David Adam and Frances Cummings Kleckley. He was a retired employee of the Blair Quarry and was a member of St. Peters (Pineywoods) Lutheran Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ryan Johes of Newberry, Mrs. Wesley Nelson, Anderson, and Mrs. Waco Cotney of Chap in; three sisters, Mrs. Ervin Brock of Newberry, Mrs. Keist er Counts and Mrs. Ross Wilson, both of Prosperity; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday from his church with Rev. John D. Zeigler conduct ing. Interment followed in the church cemetery. HERBERT LOONEY'S BROTHER DIES Joseph B. Looney Sr., 49, of Columbia, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Rich land County, a son of the late Walter H. and Mamie Bouk- night Looney. Survivors include a brother, Herbert Looney of this city. Funeral services were held Saturday in Columbia. SWIM LESSONS AT POOL The swim staff at Margaret Hunter pool is taking applica tions for the July and August sessions of swimming lessons. Monday July 6 will be the first day of the July session, at which time each child will be tested and assigned to an abil ity level. The regular hour of each child’s lesson will be an nounced on this day. Red Cross courses being of fered are beginners, advanced beginners, intermediates, and swimmers. Also, applications for junior and senior life sav ing, diving and adult beginners classes, scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, are being taken. The cost for these three-week courses is $5 for students 12 and under, and $7 for students 13 and up. Since the July ses sion is almost full, please call the Staff at 276-9229 as soon as possible.
