Academy may add 9th grade Asked about the prospects for next year in the Newberry Academy, President James C. Kinard replied that already the number of enrollees slight ly exceeds the total attendance of this session. He went on to say that the Board of Directors bad decided to continue to limit the size of all classes in order to insure personal attention to each student. He further said that the way in which applications are now coming in it appeared that soon the Aca demy will be forced to decline to accept additional ones in some of the grades. At a regular meeting of the directors last Monday night a number of steps were taken to further the progress of the school. It was decided to add the ninth grade if there should be a sufficient number of stu dents to justify the additional expense of teachers and equip ment. The prospects for a com plete enrolment in the Kinder garten and Pre-School pro grams are good. Not many more applications can be ac cepted and those who are in terested are urged by the Ac ademy to get in their appli cations at once.
