The report,, firepared by
Adley Associates, Inc., of At
lanta, planning consultants,
said Newberry’s population is
growing steadily and is ex
pected to reach 12,000 by 1080.
Other favorable trends indi
cated by the survey are that
the city has become a signifi
cant wholesale center, and the
industrial economy is exper
iencing a “healthy diversifica
tion.”

Glover killed
in air crash
Miles Jerome Clover, 42, of
Washington, D. (’. was killed
Friday in a Braniff Airlines
plane crash in Dawson, Texas.
He was the husband of the for
mer Bettye Keisler, daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Bryan Keisler
of Clinton, formerly of New
berry. He was a native of Chi
cago and was employed with
the U. 8. General Services Ad
ministration in Washington.
Funeral services were held
at St. Paul’s Lutheran church,
Gilbert, Wednesday with Dr,
J. A. Keisler Jr. of Prosperity,
officiating.
