Letter To Editor Dear Mrs. Sanders: As a regular and devoted reader of "By The Way,” I was very impressed with last week’s comments on the Nat ional Council of Churches. First, let me say that 1 agree with you that this is a political outfit that has lead many a Church down the wrong load, and noted in this weeknews that they plan to ask Co a nationwide strike of all indu- try if the Viet Nam War - osculated. Possibly these are not Communist, hut they seem to go out of their way to help the Communist at every turn However, the purpose of th's letter is to let you, and your readers know that the situation is not hopeless, and that you do still have a choice. The Nat ional Council plans to close all hut one Church in each comm unity within the next few years, and build a large one world Church. We, at Mt. Bethel Sout hern Methodist Church, and other Bi hie-Bel ieving Churches (there are more than you think) will not be a part of this one world Church, but will continue to uphold the Holy Bible as the Inspired Word of God, which has NO error in it. We organized Mt. Bethel for this reason. Our members came from several different denom inations, which were eithr mem bers of The National Council of Churches, or were cooperat ing with them. Our children we re being taught that the Bible was made up of tales, myths, and stories, and was full of errors in translation, etc. We love our children, and do not want their souls to go to Hell due to a belief from false teach ing that anything is all right if you are sincere. You can be sincerely wrong! The Holy Word of God, the Bible, says not to he unequally yoked with un believer.-, so we had to pull out of the Apostate Churches, ami the Ford gave us Mt. Bethel Southern Methodist Church, it is not large, hut Matthew 1S:‘2() ays "Where ‘d or d are gather ed together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.” Many say that you and I are light, hut that they can stay in the Churches they have al ways been in, and be all right. Fet them read Mark !P47. We have been told that the move for Christ will cost us friends and business. Let those who say this read Mark Id: Id. Many say that thev can get to Heaven add a new name—vours VI. Beginning today, put one more name on the list of people you pay every month. Start now to save regularly at... Let them read St. John 14:0. We have been often called a “Hate Group." Let those who do this calling read Romans 12:0 & 10. To sum this up, Let me say that in order to he saved, that we must place Christ First, and when we do this we will not support any Council, Church, or other organizations which does not support him 100 per cent, and does not believe in the Inspired, Cneenng word of God, The Holy Bible, versions prior to the Revised Standard Version, which was printed, and is con trolled by The National Council of Churches, which gets a royalty for each copy sold. This version not only aids the NCC., but has enough changes in it to lose the whole meaning of God's Word. Mis. Sanders, please do not feel that you are alone in this fight, for Our Lord Jesus Christ is on our side, and then who can he against us? There is another iiuneil of churches.
