Crumpton, 78, died Friday at the Newberry County Memorial hospital after several years of declining health. Mr. Crumpton was born and reared in this county, and was the son of the late Capers and Sally Wicker Crumpton. He made his home in the St. Phil lips section of the county and was a member of St. Phillips Lutheran church. He was a re tired farmer. Mr. Crumpton is survived by one son, John H. Crumpton of Newberry; two daughters, Mrs. P. E. Rinehart and Mrs. Jack Lathrop, both of Newberry; two brothers, John R of Prosperity and Luther of Newberry. Funeral services were held Saturday from his church with Rev. Harry Grout and Rev. C. L. Robinson conducting the ser vice. Interment was in the church cemetery . Mrs. Hay dies in Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Blanche Berry Hay, of Augusta, wife of the late Leon L. Hay, died Saturday at the Augusta hospital. She was born in Newberry, the daughter of the late John D. Berry and Mattie Berry. She had spent most of her life in Newberry and had lived in Augusta for the past 8 years. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Vesta Gordon of Augusta; Mrs. C. W. Bazemore, Augusta, and Mrs. Alvin Metts of Jack sonville, Fla. J. D. Dominick rites Monday J. Dudley Dominick, 82, died Sunday morning at the New berry County Memorial hospi tal. He had been in declining health for a number of years. Mr. Dominick was born and reared in this county the son of the late John S. and Thomp son Ann Dawkins Dominick. His wife, Mrs. Maggie Lenora Fulmer Dominick, died nine years ago. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran church, and was a retired farmer. Mr. Dominick is survived by five sons, Rufus, Little Moun tain; Grady, James M and Royce, all of Prosperity; four daughters, Mrs. Clarice Whit man, Prosperity; Mrs. Olive Felder, Columbia; Mrs. Frances Brashier, Greenville, Mrs. Julia Senn, Newberry; one sister, Miss Aimnee Dominick. Funeral service^ were held Monday from her church with Rev. Hilton Roof conducting the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Turner, 82 dies Thursday Mrs. Mattie Connelly Turner, 82, died Thursday at the J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home, after several years of declining health. Mrs. Turner was a native of this county and was a daugh ter of the late J. Burr and Louise Perkins Connelly. She was a member of O’Neal St. Methodist church. Mrs. Turner is survived by two sons, Malcolm Turner of Miami, Fla., and Raymond Tur ner of Spartanburg; one daugh ter, Mrs. Avis Bour, Arlington, Va.; one brother J. H. Connelly of Newberry, two sisters, Mrs. Corrie Chapman, Little Moun tain and Mrs. Bessie Frick of Chapin. Funeral services were held Saturday from her church with Rev. Hoyt Graham and Rev. Ralph E. Rhyne, conducting the service. Burial was in Ros»> mont cemetery. Tuesday rites (or Stoudemire John Carl Stoudemire, 61, of Little Mountain, died suddenly Monday. Mr. Stoudemire was born and reared in Newberry and Lexington counties, and was the son of Mary A. Lind- ler Stoudemire and the late John S. Stoudemire. He was retired assistant superintendent of the Southern railway and a member of Capers Chapel Meth odist church. Mr. Stoudemire is survived by his wife, Louise F. Stoude mire; a son, Bobby Stoudemire of Chapin; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell Boozer of Prosperity; his mother, Mrs. Anna Stoude mire; five sisters, Mrs. Mary ■Bundrick of Nwberry; Mrs. A. W. Dailey of Peak; Mrs. Alma Eleazer, Miss Eva Stoudemire, and Mrs. Willie Mae Sites, all of Littie Mountain. Funeral services were held Tuesday from his church with Rev. Albert Cox conducting the service. Burial followed in the Newberry Memorial Gardens.
