Party given for faculty at college Smeltzer Hall was the fest ive scene of the Christmas meeting of the Newberry Coll ege Faculty Women’s Club on Wednesday night, December 14 at eight o’clock. Husbands of the members and the single men on the faculty and staff were guests of the club. Receiving with Mrs. Frank Ashley, the president, were her husband, Dr. Ashley, head of the Department of History; and Mrs. A. G. D. Wiles, wife of the president of the College. Smeltzer Hall was beauti fully decorated for the Christ mas season, and this party was one of a number given there. In the parlor to the left of the entrance hall was the tradition al pine with the red roses. White candles'& miniature an gels were arranged with greens on the mantle from which hung a large green velvet bow. Mag nolia leaves were used with candles and multi-colored balls in lovely arrangements in the halls. A garland of greens hung with white bells was draped on the stair rail. The refreshment table was set in the large reception hall at one end of which was an eight-foot cedar tree decorated Public meeting of delegation Rep. D. P. Folk announces that a public meeting of the County Delegation and the Newberry County Board of Commissioners will be held on Saturday, January 7, 1967 at 10 a. m. in the county court room. All citizens who have mat ters they wish to discus^ with the delegation or the Board are urged to attend this meeting. FOR THE FAMILY . . . Cen tering the table was an ar rangement of red carnations. Cakes with Christmas icing, fruit cake, and toasted nuts were served buffet style. Fruit punch and coffee were served from either end of the table. Dr. and Mrs. Riggin told the guests goodbye. Hostesses for the meeting were Mrs. Harvey Kirkland, Mrs. Nield Gordon, Mrs. Foster Farley, Mrs. E. W. Burnette, Mrs. Clifton Graham, Mrs. B. O.
