Graham crackers, cookies and fig bars are featured in this treasure chimney For Kiddies Treasure Chimney Is Real Treat Something for the children? Of course. A Christmas decoratior that’s good enough to eat. All you need is assorted cookies, but ter frosting mix, and a jolly toy Santa to add special fun to the smallfry’s holiday. Treasure Chimney 2 1-lb. boxes Sunshine Sugar Ho ney Graham Crackers 2 7-oz. packages butter frosting mix 5 8-oz. packages Sunshine Fig Bars or 3 1-lb. packages Sunshine Assorted Cookies Small Santa To make the form around which the chimney is built, tape toge ther side by side the two 1- pound boxes of graham crackers, after removing the paper wrap ping from each. Leave crackers in the boxes until the chimney is completed. Prepare one of the paekages of frosting mix as package directs. Spread one side of the taped boxes with frosting. Arrange fig bars flat with bottom sides down, pressing into frosting to look like mortar. Let frosting dry completely (several hours) on this side. Repeat process on the other three sides of form. When all “bricks” are cemented firmly, stand chimney on end. Cut away cardboard ends of gra ham cracker boxes at top, and remove about a third of the crackers. Prepare second package of the frosting mix. Drizzle it down corner edges and top of chimney to resemble snow and icicles. Fill chimney with as sorted cookies, and top with a Santa. SACRED SYMBOL Mistletoe was a sacred symbol where the early Druids were con cerned. Forests in which this pre cious plant grew were dedicated to the gods. Legend says that Druids cut mistletoe sprigs with a golden knife and hung, them over their doors so that no evil would enter the house. May Peace enter your heart!
