Mitchell, 74, of Anderson, died at the Anderson hospital last Saturday after an illness of three weeks. •Born in Abbeville county, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Mary Caudell Brown. She had spent most of her life in An derson and was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church. Survivors include a son, Rev James Mitchell, formerly of New berry and now of Orchard Park, N. Y. Rev. Campbell dies after illness John Butler Campbell, 82, son of the late John B. and Dallie Dobbins Campbell, died Wednes day afternoon in Columbia after several years declining mealth. Mr. Campbell was born in this county but lived most of his life in the city of Newberry where he was employed with the Newberry Cotton Mill. He was a member of the West End Baptist church where he was a member of the Men’s Bible class. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Johnson of Valdosta, Ga. f Mrs. Mary TramneR of Fitz gerald, Ga., and Mrs. Janie Mayor of Atlanta, Ga. and one brother, S. C. Campbell of Newberry. Funeral servicse were conducted Thursday from the Whitaker Funeral Home by Rev. S. M. At kinson. Burial was in Rosemont cemetery RITZ Theatre W. W. Langford rites Thursday William Wright Langford, 53, died Tuesday at his home in Col umbia. Mr. Langford was born in this county, the son of the late Stan more G. Langford and Moselle Wright Langford Sterling. He was an employee of the Piggly- Wiggly stores in Columbia; he was a member of the Main Street Methodist church and was a vet eran of Warld War IL He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bernice Timmerman Langford; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Edwin Best of Columbia; one son, Wil liam S. Langford; three brothers, Robert J. Langford and James C. Langford, both of Newberry, and Stanmore G. Langford of La Mesa, Calif.; and his step-father, W. H. Sterling of Newberry. Funeral services were conducted Thursday from the Main Street Methodist church by Rev. M. D. Moore and Rev. Eben Taylor. In terment was in Rosemont ceme tery in Newberry. Serving as pallbearers were Frank Kelly, W. E. Hollis, J. P. McKeown, Clayton Schumpert, Sonny Knight and Fred Pitts.
