Daniel told Policemaji Eugene Shealy that he got in the car with the other four occupants last night in Greenville; that they rode all night, ending up in Charleston and were on their way back to Greenville when the wreck oc curred. Moore also told officers that he went to sleep while driv ing. At 8:30 Wednesday morning, two pick-up trucks collided at the corner of Boundary and Dray ton streets, causing no apparent injury to the drivers but smash ing the front of both trucks. A truck belonging to the Champion Paper and Fibre company and being driven by Wolodymyr Kolo- dij, was travelling toward Newber ry on Boundary street. A pick-up truck owned by Layton Bros and driven by Ed Schroder ,was trav eling on Drayton street going to ward Newberry mills. The two vehicles collided, spun around and landed on opposite sides of the intersection from which they were traveling. The Layton Bros, truck traveled 42 feet across Boundary and the Champion truck stopped in front of the Feagle home, 65 feet from the point of the colli sion. .Both trucks were hauled away by wreckers. Mollohon Local To Elect Officers Mollohon Local Union will meet fn regular session Sunday, Decem ber 11 at 3 p. m. in the Mollohon schoolhouse. All officers for 1956 will be elected at this time. McWaters is in New York City this week buying merchandise for her department in Belk’s of Columbia. Mrs. El G. Eargle was hoeteas to the William Lester chapter U. D. C., Friday afternoon. The president, Mrs. H. P. Wick er, presided. A Christmas (program was given Mrs. Vida Thomason read an art! cje “Christmas Carols.” Plans were discussed for observing the fiftieth birthday of the U D C in January. During the social hour the hostess served a sweet course with coffee. Prosperity High School began a 20 game schedule at home last Fri day night against Silverstreet. For the girls lettermen back are Mir iam Dawkins and Peggy Minick. Others on the team are Joy Hun ter, Jo Ann Kunkle, Brenda Sum mers, Jean Amick, Emily MoOre, Dolly Mindck, Betty Nobles, Daisy Minick, Starling Minick, Brenda Kunkle, Jackie Hamm, Linda Hawkins, and Pam Hunter. The boys team consists of let termen Raeford McDonald, Ver non Hawkins, Billy Morris and Bruce Connelly. Others on the team are John Fulmer, Wendell Bedenbaugh, Buddy Counts, Jim my Livingston, Gene Hendrix, Stanley Hawkins, Troy Bowers, Rodney Bpting, Mike Sinclair, Glenn Fellers, Carl Smith, Albert Moore and Ralph Bowers. The girls record last year was 16 wins and 6 looses. They won the district 2 dase B title and lost to Iva in the upper state. The boys won 13 and lost 9.
