Monroe, Jr., pastor of the bride, officiated, using the ring cere mony. Wedding music was presented by Mr. Jack Lee Peterson, organ ist and Miss Evelyn Martin, of Greenwood, soloist. Miss Martin sang “Because” and “Through The Years.” Carl Bennett of Lancaster cous in of the bride and Edward Runn- with his parents, Judge and Mrs. S. C. The bride wore a waltz-length gown of embroidered nylon lace over bridal satin. The form-fitting bodice featured a sweetheart neck line, with long sleeves ending in glove points over the wrists. The bouffant skirt was made in tiera of embroidered nylon lacd. Her veil of imported illusion was at tached to a white satin cap adorn ed with seed pearls. Her only or nament was a necklace of rhine stones, a gift from the groom. The bride carried a bouquet of white carnations. , Mrs. Johnson, mother of the bride, chose for her daughter’s wedding a navy blue dress with a white gardenia corsage. Immediately following the cere mony, the guests were entertain ed at a cake cutting at the home of the bride’s mother. For going away, Mrs. Abrams chose a beige imported wool suit with dark brown accessories and a corsage lifted from her bridal bouquet. Mrs. Abrams is the daughter of Mrs. Arlie McCain Johnson and the late Thomas P. Johnson, of Newberry. She graduated from Newberry college and received her Masters of Education degree at the University o< South Carolina. FDr the past few years she has been a member of the faculty of the Greenwood city schools. Mr. Abrams is a son of the late Mr. ‘ and Mrs. Clark Ivy Abrams of Newberry. He is a graduate of Newberry college and is employed by the P. D. Johnson company.
