HICKS and son, John of Clemson returned to their home in Clemson Monday, after a week’s visit with Mrs. Hick’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Kohn, Sr. on Johnstone street. KENT AND STEVE MIMS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth iMims of Sumter, spent the weekend and a couple of days the first of the week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Campbell on Har rington street. They were ac compained home by their aunt. Miss Ann Campbell for a couple of week’s visit. ^ MRS. RILL REYNOLDS and two children, Billy and Lane, re turned to their home in Birming- Tiam, Ala., last Saturday, after a visit here in the home of Mrs. Rey nold’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Kirkland on Johnstone street. MiR. AND MRS. HAL KOHN and three children, Carol, Alan and Melaine, of Columbia, spent the past weekend in the home of Mr. Kohn’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Kohn, Sr.,- on Johnstone street. MISS SUDIE DENNIS returned to her home on Cornelia street last week after a ten-day visit at Fort Walton Beach. Florida with her sister, Mrs. S. B. Churchwell. Miss Dennis accompained her sister back to Florida for a visit after Mrs. Churchwell spent a few days in Newberry with Miss Dennis and Mrs. Claude Schumpert on Cor- jielia street. MRS. D. H. MC HARGUE (Constance Armfield) and soh, Danny, spent a few days the first of the week in the home of Mrs. McHargue’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Armfield. Sr. and her sister Mrs. R. F. Sanders and Mr. Sand ers on Pauline street. • MR. AND MRS. DAVID RING ER, Mrs. Cecil Fellers and two grandchildren, Sandra and Diane, of Norfolk, Va., who are on a visit here, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Addy, W. H. Stilwell, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Oxner and two children, Bobby Alan and George, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Mayes and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Ringer, spent Sunday on a picnic outing at Paris Mountain State Park. JOHN C. WILSON and two sis ters, Miss Sara Wilson and Mrs. Bennie Burns attended the Morris f family reunion which was held in Anderson Sunday. MR. AND MRS. BILL CON NELLY of Daytona Beach, Fla., are visiting Mr. Connelly’s moth er, Mrs. Pope Connelly, who is a patient m the Newberry Memorial Hospital. MR. AN MRS. ADRIAN M. SUMMER and son, Adrian,, Jr., and Mrs. Roy Krouse and daughter, Gloria, of Augusta, spent their va cation last week at Myrtle Beach. MR. AND MRS. BILL DAVIS of Chattanooga, Tenn., spent the weekend with Mrs. Davis’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Leavell on Martin street. Betty Leavell who had been on a visit with her sis ter and brother-in-law returned to her home in Newberry with them. THE FRIENDS OF DR. E. H. BOWMAN will be glad to learn that he is resting more comfor tably although his general condi tion remains about the same. REV. L. G. GRAY of California and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Gray, Jr. and two children of Cleveland, Ohio, are spending a week in the home of Reverend Gray’s .sister-in-law, Miss Sadie Bowers on Harrington street. MR. AND MRS. LEON D. NIC HOLS and three children, Sarah Ann, Moriat and Leon, Jr., spent the weekend in Charleston in the home of Mrs. Nichols’ brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Jimmy Martin. MR. AND MRS. GEORGE COB- ER of Winston Salem, N. C. re turned to their home Wednesday after spending several days here in the home of Mrs. Cober’s aunt, Mrs. W. C. Schenck on Harper street. MISS JOANNE HALFACRE re turned to her home in Newberry Saturday afternoon after two week’s as a guest of Mr. an4 Mrs. W. B. Lewis and son, Bill Lewis at their summer home in the mountains of North Carolina. MRS. J. F. RISER and daughter. Miss Ethel Riser of Sanford, Fla. are spending about ten days here in the home of Mrs. Riser’s sis ters. Mrs. M. L. Duckett and Mrs. L. W. Bedenbaugh on Fair street. MABEL SHEALY. daughter of Mr.' and Mrs. Lewis Shealy is spending two weeks in Charleston with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. MacGilvary. She is also spending some time with another aunt, Miss Jenelle Lester, who is in training at the Roper Hospital. MR. AND MRS. W. A. MASON and two children, Margaret and Bill, left Wednesday night for Daytona Beach, Florida for a week’s vacation. They will also visit other places of interest while in Florida. MRS. A. T. NEELY, SR. left last Friday for Augusta, Ga., where she joined a friend and they went on to the Isle of Palms to spend a fe wtdays. MR. AND MRS. JACK YATES and children, returned to their home on College street Extension, Sunday night after' a week’s va cation at Eilsto Beach. MR. AND MRS. JIMMY D. TAY LOR have moved to 1822 E. Bakers at their summer home “Tanglewood” on Lake Mur ray, while Dr. Patrick is attending a Presbyterian convention in Prinston, N. J. Dr. Patrick will join his family' here about the 10th of August.
