How Constipated
People Can Be
Kind to Themselves
Thousands of people who suffer from
chronic constipation have found an amaz
ingly easy way to be kind to themselves.
They don’t whip their systems with
harsh, painful cathartics. Instead, they
turn to Nature’s Remedy. For Nature’s
Remedy, ffl tablets, is composed entirely
of natural, vegetable laxatives—so gentle,
most people take them at night because
their sleep is not disturbed, yet regularity
is accomplished the next morning.

Some Wind!
A NEW YORKER was traveling
west in a Pullman when a
group of chamber of commerce
boosters from Kansas City, Mo.,
boarded the train and began to
praise their city to the New York
er, telling him of its beautiful
boulevards, large industrial estab
lishments, and its wonderful pos
sibilities. Finally the New Yorker
became tired and said the only
thing that would improve their city
would be to make it a seaport.
The enthusiastic Kansas Citians
laughed at him and asked how
they could make it a seaport, be
ing so far from the ocean.
The New Yorker replied that it
would be a very easy task.
“The only thing that you will
have to do,” said he, “is to lay a
two-inch pipe from your city to
the Gulf of Mexico. Then if you
fellows can suck as hard as you
can blow you will have it a sea
port inside half an hour.”
KEEP IT DARK
A railway employe was sum
moned to court to serve as a jury
man for a few days—a duty not
wholly to his liking. After listening
to a long list of excuses for not
sitting in the panel propounded by
the potential juror, the judge stern
ly snapped, “Do you mean to tell
me you’re indispensable to that
big railroad that has thousands
upon thousands of employes?”
“No judge,” the workman re
plied, “but I don’t want them to
find it out!”
Of Course
A census clerk, in scanning over
the form to see if It had been prop
erly filled up, noticed the figures
120 and 112 under the headings.
“Age of Father, if living,” and
“Age of Mother, if living.”
“But your parents were never so
old, were they?” asked the aston
ished clerk.
“No,” was the reply, “but they
would have been, if living.”
Cooperation
“Jack hasn’t come home. Am
worried. Is he spending the night
with you?” wired Smith’s wife to
five of his lodge brothers.
Soon after the husband arrived
home, and before long a messen
ger boy came in with five replies
to the wires his wife had sent.
They all read:
“Yes, Jack is spending the night
with me.”

ONE SOLUTION
“Having a good time?”
“Oh yes; her fiance, a young

“Well, she certainly seems to

“Certainly not,” said the other.

Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Patterson,

Mr. Patterson is a member of

unable to work, despite frequent
wonderful offers from contractors.
Then last September, Mr. Patter

has worked steady.

more than a year when I heard about
HADACOL last September. Since
then I have taken about 20 bottles. I

I was troubled with digestive disturb

to about 50 people and most of those
who followed my advice are feeling
better. I am sure that I owe part of
every pay check to HADACOL and
the blessed relief that it brings.”
