Counts opened the afternoon session with devo tions on “Arise, Be Doing.” Mrs G. H. C. Park of Whit mire spoke on Home Missions. Dr. James C. Kinard spoke to the conference on Christian Higher Education, also bring ing greetings from our college. Mrs. Chris Kaufmann was pres ent from the college also. Our children of today will be our church of tomorrow. Mrs. C. E. Seastrunk, who is very well acquainted with all children’s work, spoke of the importance of training our children in the way they should go. We are to arise and be doing with them. She was the daughter of the late Meredith and Mrs. Augus ta Cromer Reighley. First she was married to Lambert O. Sligh and last to J. W. Harris, both having pre- ceeded her to the grave a num ber of years ago. She had spent most of her life in New berry County and was a mem ber of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near Pomaria. She is survived by the fol lowing children: Mrs. Eargle of Pomaria, Mrs. Harry M. Thom as of Fairfax, David M. Sligh of Greer; one brother, OUn Reighley of Huntsville, Ala.; and two sisters, Mrs. A. E. Bauknight of Newberry and Mrs. W. S. Clamp of Colum bia. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were con ducted Wednesday afternoon MALCOLM O. LIVINGSTON Malcolm Olin Livingston, 76, ' died late Sunday night at his ' home after a long, illness. He j had been in declining health for several years. Mr. Livingston was the son ' of the late Horn and Mrs. Har- I riette Koon Livingston and was t born, reared and spent his en- ; tire life in the Pomaria section 1 of Newberry County. He was a member of St. Paul’s Luther an Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from St. Paul’s Lutheran church with Rev. J. L. Ballen- tine and’ Rev. Horace J. C.
