Harris of Po- maria. He attended Pomarie high school and served in the infantry in the recent war for two years one of which was spent overseas. He is now en gaged in farming. After a wedding trip the cou ple will reside with his parents in Pomaria. Circles Entertain The Missionary societies of the churches of Prosperity en tertained with egg hunts last weekend. On Friday afternoon, the children of the Methodist church enjoyed their hunt on the church lawn. On Saturday afternoon the Lillie Kyzer cir cle of Grace church entertained the children of the church on the church lawn. On the same afternoon, the children of the A.R.P. church were entertained by their missionary society. League Social The Intermediate leaguers of Grace church enjoyed an out door social Tuesday afternoon, the group hiked to the old Sun set Park grounds. After enjoy ing games, the different groups cooked bacon and weiners which were served with sandwiches and cold drinks. Mrs. G. W. Counts, superintendent, chaper oned the party. Personal Hems Mr. and Mrs. Frank Farr are receiving congratulations on the birth of a son, Ronald Terry, on March 27, at the Neberry hospital. This is the Farr’s se cond son. Mr. and Mrs. George Spotts announce the birth of a son, Thomas Greer, on March 22, at the Newberry county hospital. Mrs. Spotts is the former “Mickie” Greer of Honea Path. The Spotts have recently mov ed into the apartment in the home of Mrs. A. B. Hunt. The many friends of E. G. Counts will be glad to know that he came home Monday from the Newberry hospital where he had been a patient for two months. He makes his home with his son, H. E. Counts. Miss Lottie Stoudemire of Chapin is spending the week with her aunt, Mrs. J. B. Sease. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Beam of Newberry were Easter Sunday guests of her mother, Mrs. O. W. Amick. Miss Betty Pugh of Columbia College spent the Easter holi days with her grandmother, Mrs. Cora Stockman. Mr. arid Mrs. T. A. Loftis of Charlotte were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mts. W. E. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vaughp are building an attractive bun galow on the Batesburg high way next door to E. O. Shealy. They hope to move in a few weeks. The Prosperity garden club will meet with Mrs. J. L. Counts Monday afternoon, April 5, at 3:30. Mrs. Clyde Hartman came home Monday from the Newber ry hospital where she recently underwent an operation. Sunday guests of the C. F. Adams were W. E. Wicker of Newberry, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Taylor and three children and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wicker and two children of Saluda. Weekend guests in the home of the A. R. Chappells were Mr. and Mrs. E. B.
