Their daughter, Angelyne, a student at Winthrop college, is a member of the Winthrop band which took part in the Shrine Bowl program. Scurry and children, John and Bill were dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. Jerel Scurry, Columbia, Satur day evening. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Werts spent Sunday with their daugh ter, Mary Lou Carlson, John ston. A surprise birthday din ner was given her by her uncles and aunts and the following were present; Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pow and Louise, Saluda; Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Nicholson, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Nicholson and Ann, Mary Rose Pow, all of Greenville; and Mrs. A. L. Nich olson (grandmother). Mrs. Ace Watkins’ mother, Mrs. Hollman of Aiken has been visiting her for several days. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Keith and James, spent Sunday in Colum bia with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sharpe. Mrs. I. Q. Watkins and daugh ters, Mary and Irvian were weekend visitors of Mrs. Wat- kin’s mother, Mrs. Daisy Clark, Columbia. William Webb spent the weekend in Columbia with his family. Miss Frances Webb, Aiken, was at home over the weekend. Miss Gene Coleman, home demonstration agent, St. Matt hews, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Coleman. Mr. and Mrs. Haskel Adams, Charleston, were home over the weekend. Ray Yount, Ninety Six, was a visitor in Chappells Sunday. Mrs. J. L. Holloway and Inez were Greenwood visitors dur ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Johnson were visiting in Columbia last Sunday. C. J. Smith, Rock Hill, was at his home here for Sunday din ner. Dr. J. L. Holloway, Ware Shoals and Ralph Scurry were bird hunting here one day dur ing the week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watkins spent Sunday at Edgefield with Mrs. Watkins mother, Mrs. Gib son. Miss Frances Boazman, who is nursing in Columbia, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Boazman. Mrs. Sallie Holloway is spending some time in Atlanta, Ga., with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Cox. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Sharpe, were at the home of Mrs. Sharp over the weekend. Miss Julia Kate Sease, a mem ber of the Pomaria school fac ulty, spent the weekend at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Sease. Mrs. Jeff Metis, Mrs. John Earl Dawkins and little daugh ter, Kay of Prosperity visited in the home of Mrs. R. N. Tay lor Sunday. Mrs. Georgia Schumpert was a visitor in Columbia Wednes day. Mr. and Mrs. Gallic Duncan, Jr., are happy to announce the birth of a daughter, Cynthia Lynn, on December 5th. Mr. and Mrs. Julian Martin visited in Columbia Friday. Their daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Charles and baby returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Crosby and children of Chester were Sunday guests of Mrs. Crosby’s parents, Rev. and Mrs. B. H. Harvey. Miss Margaret Harvey of Greenwood visited her parents, Rev. and Mrs. B. H. Harvey over the weekend. Reeves-Amick Miss Aliens Amick and Steve D. Reeves were married in St. Peters Lutheran church of Cha pin by the pastor, Rev. G. H. C. Park. Mrs. Reeves is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Amick. The couple are making their home with the bridegroom’s parents at 1315 Milligan street. F&nning-Hiers Mrs. Kathleen W.
