G., visited Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Penelton of Clinton Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Colie Hogue and little daughter Ygenia, visited Mrs. Hogue’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Holland of Third street Sunday. Miss Lucile Sullivan visited her grandmother, Mrs. F. S. Shirley of Camden several days of last week. Mrs. Claudia Beatty is able to be up and about some after hav ing to undergo a major operation a few weeks ago at the County hospital. Mr. Harris McConnell, Laur ens, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. F. H. Mc- Connel of Clyde avenue. Miss Nannie Bowen is back in Shelby, N. C., visiting her sister, Mrs. Hartaman after being at home for a few days. We are glad to report Mrs. Lil ly Thomas, being able to get out and go around since being ill at her home for several weeks. Rev. and Mrs. Ray Williams have as guest for a few days, Rev. William’s mother and step father, near Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. Audry Bowins spent Sunday at West End with Mrs. Bowen’s mother, Mrs. Morse. Mr. Claud Mize, who was a pa tient at the Veterans hospital, is at home now, and his friends are glad to see him out on the front porch in his rolling chair, he is better in some ways, although his general condition is not good, but we hope he can soon get well and able to walk again. Mrs. Bessie Seymore and daughter, Mrs. H. L. Taylor are able to be out after each of them haing a major operation, only a few weeks apart, at the County hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bauknight had as their guest for the day Sunday Mrs. Bouknight’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Wilhite, her sister, Miss Frances, and Mr. Boyd Duncan. A number of re latives and friends called in dur ing the day. Among them, an other sister of Mrs. Bauknight, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Taylor and little Ranny, and two of Mr. Bauknight’s sisters, Mrs. Fred Coats, and Mrs. Ralph Coats. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Lee Tur ner and children, Randolph Son- ja, and Bennie Sue; Mr. and Mrs. Vick Smith of Helena and their two children, Judy and Ray: also Mrs. D. B. Goings, Sr., and her daughter, Miss Yvonne Goings, visited Mrs. Goings sister, Mrs. Reba Lorick, near Batesburg Sun- day. Sgt. A. Gamer Peterson of the U. S. Army is to report to Fort Benning, Ga., in a few days for further orders since visiting his mother, Mrs. Koger Eavins, who makes her home with Mr. Robert Wesson. Sgt. Peterson who is just back from Germany has been in the army for about 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wesson had as guest Sunday Mrs. Wes son’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Langford, her aunt, Mrs. Ada Johnson of Columbia also Mr. Wesson’s nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Rinehart and baby Vickie. Mr. Ralph, David and Earl Bo- zard and Mr. Massey Holland, visited Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Shealy and family of Memphis, Tenn., over the weekend. Mrs. W. D. Bozard, mother- of the Bozard boys, returned with them after visiting Mr. Shealy who is her brother. Mrs. Annie Mae Underwood and Mrs. F. F. Holland visited Mrs. Underwood’s mother-in-law, Mrs. R. E. Padgett and family of Charlotte spent the past weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Padgett. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Bedenbaugh and son of Greenville visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Culclasure, seriously ill at her son’s home, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Underwood. The Clifford Barret WMU met with Mrs. F. F. Holland Tuesday afternoon. Afer devotional and business were over, all enjoyed a short friendly visit with each oher, which was very much en joyed by the many members. Sunday. Mrs. G. N. Tompkins of Green ville spent the past weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Padgett. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bedenbaugh and children and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Livingston, Jr., and daugh ter spent Sunday in Goldville. Mr. A. C. Tysinger of Orlando, Fla., is spending a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. M. N. Pad gett. Mr. and Mrs. Dunway Turner and Betty Joyce spent Sunday in Enoree with Rev. and Mrs. James Gilliam and children. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kinard and Mr. P. W.
