Thursday, May 15 5:59—Sign On 6:00—News 6:06—Early Bird Bundrick-Dominick Miss Mae Alberta Bundrick and Mr. David Floyd Dominick were married May fourth at the residence of the officiating minister, the Rev. Julian B Harman, D.D., in the presence of a number of relatives and friends. Mrs. Dominick is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Bundrick of route two, Prosperity. She was becomingly attired in a white silk dress with black ac cessories and an orchid corsage. Mr. Dominick is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Dominick of Prosperity, route two. He was in the U. S. Army during Wolrd War II about two years. He is now a student at the Columbia Barber School in Columbia. They will have their residence 'at Pomaria. Tea Given For Recent Bride Outstanding among the many social attentions for Miss Mary Alice Mitchell, a popular bride of May first, was the lovely tea given Tuesday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 o’clock by Mes- dames E. H. Moore, J. S. Watters and Wilson Moore at the lovely country home of Mrs. Moore. The whole lower floor was thrown en-suite and beautifully decorated with a profusion of white and blue Dutch, iris white snapdragons, white lillies, yel low and red tulips white ■ carna tions and numerous white candles. Mrs. Dick Shealy and Mrs. Robert Houseal received the guest at the front door. Mrs. Gordon Able introduced the guest to the receiving line, composed of the three hostess, Miss Mitchell, Mrs. Patrick Mitchell, mother of the bride, and Mrs. Charles Suber, grand mother of the bride. Mrs. A. T. Neely and Mrs. Henry Fellers entertained in this room. Receiving in the spacious hall were Mrs. Arthur Welling and Mrs. Julia Glover. Mrs. Charley Ruff invited the guest into the dining room where Mrs. Janice C. Brown poured tea at a beautifully ap pointed table covered with a heavy lace cloth, having for a centerpiece, a low silver bowl of white lillies, white iris and white snapdragons. At each end of the table, handsome silv er candelabrum held burning white candles. On the buffet and coffee table were placed burning tapers and silver bowls of white carnations and iris. Delicious sandwiches, bridal cakes and tea were served by Mesdames C. C. Price, Raymond Nichols, Miss Jean Wood, Mrs. Charles Price and Miss Ann Ringer. Nuts were passed by little. Barbara Moore. Mints were passed by Eva Welling and Kay Newman. Mrs. Julia Glover and Mrs Charley Ruff pinned tiny favors of valley lillies tied with white satin ribbon on each guest as they left the dining room. Mrs. W. L. McGill invited the guests to the den where Miss Etta Rae Ruff presided over the bride’s register. Mrs. Roy Summer, Jr., entertained in this room. Mrs. Tommie Folk invited the guest into the living room, where Mrs. Ollie Brown served delicious punch. Mrs. J. W. Car- son and Mrs. Paul Ezell enter tained in this room. Others helping were Mes dames B. B. Leitzsey, B. H. Caldwell, Richard Carlisle, A. G. Lietzsey and Hubert Car lisle. About two hundred guest call ed during the receiving hours. AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE A SANITARY SERVICE CHARGE FOR THE USE OF THE PUBLIC SEWER SYSTEM OF THE TOWN OF NEWBER RY, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE SAME. BE IT ORDAINED by the Ma yor and Aldermen of the Town of Newberry, S. C., in Council assembled, and by authority of the same: SECTION 1. That from and after May 18th, 1947, there shall be levied and collected from all persons, firms or corporations a service charge for the priv ilege of using the public sewer system of the Town of New berry, which charges are herein after stipulated. SECTION 2. There is hereby levied upon all persons, firms and corporations, who install, use, maintain or connect with the public sewer system of the Town of Newberry, within the corporate limits of the Town of Newberry, the following month ly charges on all toilets or uri- *ials which are located, install ed or in use within the same building or structure: 1 to 5 toilets or urinals, 50c each 6 to 25 toilets or urinals, 25c each 26 or more toilets or uri nals , 15c each PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that there shall be levied and collect ed on all toilets and urinals lo- j cated outside the corporate lim its of the Town of Newberry, and connected with the sewer system, a twenty-five . (25%) per cent, higher rate than that charged to those within the Town of Newberry who connect with the said sewer system. SECTION 3. The Commis sioners of Public Works of the Town of Newberry are hereby authorized and empowered to promulgate all rules and regu lations in connection with the billing, collecting and account ing for all moneys obtained from said sewer service charges. SECTION 4. That all sums of money collected under and by virtue of the terms of this ordinance shall only be used for the payment of the cost of maintenance, repair and opera tion of the sewerage disposal system and sewerage treatment plant, and for the payment of the costs incurred for the con struction of such sewerage plant and sewer extension, and for sinking fund purposes of retire ment of such debt that may be incurred in connection with the sewer system. SECTION 5. Other winners wese Vera Gettys, McCormick county, sec ond prize of $7.50; Bill Whitlock, Edgefield county, third prize of $5.00; and Drue Spigner, Fair- field county, fourth prize of $2.50.
