As the guests arrived they were presented favors and invited to reg ister in the bride’s book by Mrs. Hugh Longshore. During the evening contests were enjoyed by all and musical selections were rendered by Mrs. B. O. Long, aunt of the honoree, and Mrs. John Bowers, Jr. For the occasion the honoree wore a pink afternon dress with a rosebud corsage. After the games and refreshments, which were served by the hostess, Mrs. James Medlock, Mrs. Fred Clark and Miss Frances Longshore, assist ed by Mrs. Irma Livingston and Misses Cynthia Hannah and Luvenia Crawford, many lovely useful gifts were presented the bride-elect. Long’s Entertain Wedding- Party Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Long, enter tained Monday night at their home near Silverstreet after the rehear sal for the Long-Blake wedding, Youmans Entertain Thursday Evening- Miss Frances Little and Joe C. Jackson, who are to be married on Saturday, June 15th at 8:00 o’clock in the evening in the Bush River Baptist church, were honored at a dinner party given by Mr. and Mi's. M. L. Youmans at their home on Crenshaw street last Thursday even ing, May 28th. Mixed spring flowers were used for floral decorations in the living and dining room. The dining table was centered with a silver bowl of white sweetpeas and fern, flanked by sil ver candelabra and white tapers. Covers were laid for twelve guest, close friends of the couple and the honoree’s place was designated by a miniature bride and groom. After a three course dinner, Miss Little was remembered with a lovely throusseau gift by the hostess. which took place Tuesday evening in the Silverstreet Lutheran church. Gardenias were used throughout the home for flower arrangements and party decorations. A wedding cake centered the dining room table which was covered with a beautiful linen cloth. Candlesticks holding tapers also graced the table. After refreshments were served, which consisted of the wedding cake, sandwiches, mints and punch, the guests admired the many lovely wed ding gifts, which were on display in the home of the honoree’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Long.
