Pretty and pleasing as you can buy anywhere. John Betchmann John Emmet Betchman, 53, died at the Columbia hospital late Tues day night after an illness of several •weeks. Mr. Betchman was a native of I Lexington county, but has made his home in Newberry for more than 35 years. He operated the Betchman barber shop during his stay in Newberry. Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning from Eipting Memorial church with Rev. B. H. Harvey in charge, assisted by Rev. J. B. Harman, Rev. O. H. Matchett, Rev. R. L. Powell and Rev. Marvin Hembree. Interment followed in Rosemont cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Merdy Richardson Betchman and the following children: Miss Ethel Betchman, Mrs. J. B. Harmon, Mrs. Floy Frick and Joby Betchman. Also his mother, Mrs. Wesley S. Jones and two sisters, Mrs. Ora Bell Bur nett, and Mrs. Virginia Smith, and four grand-children survive. Tyler were married at the residence of the officiating minister, the Rev. J. B. Harman, 1004 Boundary street, New berry, in the presence of a few friends. Mrs. Tyler is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Miller of Newberry and has been employed in the New berry Cotton Mills. Mr. Tyler is a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Tyler of Whitmire, and is employed in the Aragon-tBtildwin Mills of Whitmire. Killed At Chappells On Motorcycle Buck Marshall, negro from Ninety Six was killed instantly Sunday when the motorcycle which he was riding ran off the pavement in front of S.
