The Secretary-Treasurer of the Clinton Produlction Credit Associa tion, Rex Lanford, reports that at a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association that Mr J. R. Crawford of Clinton was elected as a director of the associa- tiom to fill the place on the Board left vacant by the death of Mr. C. W. Stone. Also at this meeting Mr. J. T. MdCrackin of Newberry, who h as served as vice president of the asso- fHE NEWBERRY SUN elation since organization, was elect ed president of the association, and Mr. Jack H. Davis, Sr. of Clinton was made vice president. Other mem bers of the Board of Directors, be sides Mh McCrackin, Mr. Davis and Mr. Crawford, are Mr. J. F. Haw kins of N|ewberry and Mr. E. J. Sloan of Fountain Inn. This farmers Cooperative Credit Association makes loans to farmers in Laurens and Newberry counties, and .has a total of 821 farmers as members.
