Monroe Cason of Warrenton, Ga., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Huguley Monday. Chief Warrant Officer and Mrs Edison Lown, and children, Edi son, Jr., and Paul, of Green Acres Irmo, S. Kehaya and Mrs. Mc Neil Henderson entertained the Y. W. A. and their “mothers” at a most delightful party Tuesday night at Mrs. Kehaya’s home. Miss Bettye Fuller conducted the program from the “The Window” with Misses Vivian Jaynes, Marie Sharpton, Martha Rucker, Mary Remsen, Mrs. T. J. Sibert and Mrt. Harvey Payne taking part. A chapter from “Stewardship In The Life of Women” was illus trated by Mrs. D. C. Talbert, the leader. Flowers were pinned on the “Mothers”, Dr. and Mrs. Simp son and Mr. A. C. Kehaya whose birthday was being celebrated. Mr. Kehaya, was given a box of chocolates and a box of “Holly hock Ladies” by the Y. W. A. Words of appreciation were given for Mrs. Payne who is leav ing to make her home in Rock Hill with her husband, Dr. Payne. She. married him while he was with the American army in England, and she arrived in the States from England May 1 to join her husband at his home here. . The reception was..held on the lawn at the home of Mr. arid Mrs. J. F. Rush. Miss Eugenia Rush and Miss Mafgaret Bowen greeted the guests at the driveway and Miss Frances Rush pinned favors on them. The register, kept by Miss Mabel Lyon, had on its cover flags of' both England and America, a map of each country and was tied with red, white and f>lue ribbons. Mrs. J. C. Dowtin presented guests to the receiving line com posed of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Rush, Vfr. and Mrs. W. R. Bowen, Mr. and Mrs. Workman Goff and Mr. and Mrs. John Goff. Mrs. P. W. Roper and Mrs. C. M. Edwards di rected guests to the punch bowl arranged under a bower of Doro thy Perkins roses and greenery. Miss Beatrice Creswell served punch from the English cut glass bowl centering the table which was covered wDh a point d’ Venice lace cloth. Assisting in the serving of punch apd cakes were Misses Bobbie Jean Young, Willie Frances Smith and Martha Cres well. Mrs. E. B. Smith, Mrs. Wal ter Creswell and Mrs. Ola Hastings helped Mr. and Mrs. Rush enter tain the guests. Music was furnished by Mrs. Joe White, Miss Myra Young and James Ervin Long. Just before the guests said gpodbye, Mrs. W. R. Bowen ex pressed welcome to the bride and presented her and Mr. Goff with a bedspread from the W. M. S. Mrs. Goff responded by thank ing everyone and said that she was very happy in America. For this occasion Mrs. Gof wore a light weight gold dress with black accessories.
