Mr. Tucker is a graduate of East High School, Fairmont, West Va., and was employed by Glass com pany in Illinois at the time of his enlistment in the U. S. Army, from which fie was rfecfently dis charged at Oliver General Hospital in Augusta. He has returned to his former position, and the couple are making their home with the bridegroom’s parents. . Miss Amanda Elizabeth Harris of Columbia and McCormick be came the bride of Pfc. Robert Neal Elliott, Jr., of Charlotte, N. C., and Culver City, California, in a beau tiful home wedding here Tuesday at high ipon with the bride’s pas tor, the Rev. L. K. Simpson, offi ciating! The double ring ceremony was used with a small group of family and friends witnessing. An altar of smilax, ferns, white glad- oli and spirea with white candles, was improvised in the living room and the couple entered together unattended. Candles were lighted by Bob Sanders and Anne San ders, cousins of the bride. Mrs. Elwin Titus of McCormick and Culver City, California, played pi ano selections before and during the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Bertha Sanders Harris, Mc Cormick County Superintendent of Education, and the late Rev. John S. Harris, former pastor of the McCormick Baptist Church. She graduated from Erskine College, where she served as co-editor of the school paper and magazine. For her marriage she wore a light blue gabadine suit of wool with brown accessories and hat of brown straw. Her corsage was a white orchid. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Neal Elliott, Sr., of Char lotte, N. C. He graduated from Appalachian Teachers College at Boone, N. C., and prior to enter ing the army in 1942, was con nected with Dunbar Studios in Charlotte. He is now with the motion picture Unit of Army Air Forces at Culver City, Cal. Immediately following the cere mony, Mrs. Harris, wearing navy blue with corsage of red roses, en tertained with a wedding break fast, before the couple left for a bridal trip. Out of town guests were: bfrs. R. Neal Elliott, the groom’s moth er, who wore a suit of aqua with corsage of pink roses; Mrs. Harry McKinnon, Mrs. Charles Elliott, Mrs. M. F.
