Elward Leonard Creswell, for merly of McCormick, who was re cently taken into the service, has William P. Deason, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin P. Deason, McCormick, S. C., is now enrolled as an aviation cadet in the pre flight school at Maxwell Field, Alabama, an installation of the Army Air Forces Training Com mand. Here the cadets are re ceiving nine weeks of intensive military, physical and academic training. Celebrates Birthday Little Miss Gail Robinson, daughter of Lieut, and Mrs. David Robinson, celebrated her first birthday May 13 th at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Drucker. The decorated birthday cake bearing one candle centered the beautifully appointed dining tabic. Ice cream, cakes and mints were served, followed by Coca-Colas for the grown-ups. After refresh ments were served the group went down to Sarah Evans’ house to take pictures. Guests present were Sarah Evans and her mother, Mrs. J.
