South Carolina Council of Farm
Women met in Columbia on
Thursday, June 18, with Mrs. Lan
drum Sellers, president, presiding.
At this meeting Mrs. C. D. So

ensuing year.
McCormick County Council of
Farm Women received honor
able mention for the work that
had been done the past year.
Among the outstanding speak
ers at this meeting were: Gov
ernor Jeffries, Dr. W. P. Jacobs,
Chairman, S. C. State Defense
Council, and Dr. E. J. Lease, Bio-
Chemist, Clemson College.
An informal reception was held
at the governor’s mansion.
McCormick County was repre
sented by the Home Demonstra
tion Agent, Miss Matilda Bell,
Mrs. C. A. Gilbert. Mrs. Foster
