Wil liams, who is taking intensive training in drafting at Clemson College and C. L., Jr., who is tak ing a mechanical course and radio in Columbia. Recently C. Misses Elizabeth Rowe, Mary Shockley, Helen Kind and Mary Sue Coleman joined the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Cole man, for a visit to Savannah I Beach last week end. Mrs. J. J. Dorn has returned from a trip through New England and Canada. Friends of Senator M. G. Dorn will be glad to learn that he has been dismissed from the Columbia Hospital where he spent vacation of two weeks at Myrtle Beach, Florence, Augusta, Ga., and with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Christian, of McCormick. Mr. F. W. Corley of Aiken spent Sunday here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse R. Corley. Miss Nell Dowtin has returned to her home near town from Duke University, Durham, N. C., where she attended summer school. After a week’s visit to her par ents, Hon. and Mrs. T. A. Dowtin, of near town, Mrs. C. C. Sisk re turned to her home in Newport, Tenn., Tuesday. Her brother, Mr. Mark Dowtin, who holds a position with The Columbia Record, Co lumbia, accompanied her home to spend part of his two weeks’ vaca tion with her and Mr. Sisk.
