Talbert entertained Tuesday afternoon of last week from four to six o’clock with a most delightful party complimenting Miss Martha Wardlaw of Troy, bride elect. An attractive arrangement of Queen Ann’s Lace and Shasta Daises in the living and dining i rooms made a beautiful setting for the four tables placed for a game of rook. The bride elect’s chair was marked with a beautiful cor sage of white flowers arranged with fern and white satin ^ribbon. Miss Wardlaw was presented a trouseau gift, And the high score prize, a box of dainty handker chiefs, went to Miss Julia Brown. Mrs. Talbert was assisted in serv ing a delicious frozen salad course by Miss Nellie Gunter of Leesville, and Miss Betty Workman of Mc Cormick.
