Master Lawrence Strom, who has been ill at his home here the past several days, is much better at this time. Miss Regna Finley of Columbia visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Preston Finley, on Monday. Miner of Plum Branch •was a business visitor here Satur day morning. Mrs. R. S. Truluck and son from Spartanburg are here on a visit to her parents, Capt. and Mrs. Tack Scruggs. Mrs. Maggie McDonald, who re cently underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Greenwood Hospital, is reported to be getting along very nicely and expects to return home Saturday. Mr. Marion Watkins has return ed to Greensboro, N. C., after spending the past week with his mother, Mrs. Lucretia Watkins. Misses Kathleen and Wenonah McKinney were business visitors in Columbia last Saturday. Miss Nylena Strom returned Ihome Friday from the Anderson (County Hospital, where she under went an operation for appendicitis (the previous Friday, and continues to improve satisfactorily. Mrs John E. Bradley, who has been ill at her home here the past three weeks, is getting along very nicely at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Smith and family and Miss Nan Workman spent Sunday in Mauldin with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Shealy. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Augustine and children of Greenwood spent Sun day here in the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Price. Mrs. W. H.
