On Tuesday afternoon the Wo
man’s Auxiliary of the Presbyter
ian Church entertained with a
beautiful birthday party at the
home of Mrs. W. H. McNair. The
proceeds are to go to a girls school
in Congo Africa. After prayer by
Mrs. E. F. Gettys, the president,
the meeting was turned over to
Mrs. J. B. Branch, and business
was discussed, also entertaining pa
pers on the work in Africa were
read by Mesdames J. B. Branch, J.
M. Gibert and Miss Mamie Smith.
As the guests arrived each was
served punch, and during the even
ing a contest was enjoyed. Each
guest was given a needle threaded
in black and a small square of
white cloth with the name of some
animal written on it, and told to .

Hello, everybody!
It has been quite awhile since I
have read any news from Bor
deaux. I just can’t see what ev
erybody means. There is so much
going on around here and nobody
ever takes time to write a word
about it.
Last Friday night, Mr. Albert
Cade gave the young people a
“sucker narty.” This may sound
unusual but everyone enjoyed it.
Misses Christine Parnell and

Miss Sallie Lou Cade of McCor

relatives.
We are glad to see Miss Sarah
