Tired of Paying Railroat Tax.
The people of three townships in the
Fork section' of Lexington County aic
looking in the matter of repudiating the
township bonds issued for the building of
the Columbia, Newberry and Laurens
railroad. It seems now that the payment
of the interest on the .bonds for this year
has been refused, and the whole u-atter
will doubtless soon be in the courts.
The people intend to fight the matter
out and see if they are legally required
to pay this tax, which they say is a
heavy burden upon them.
