In response to the call of Mi. J. C. Wilborn, published Friday, a meeting I of the farmers and cotton growers was i held in the court house yesterday. Owing to the inclemency of the weath er the attendance was not as large as it would have been with a clear day. Mr. R. T. C. Hunter called the meet Ing to ordQr and requested E. H. Aull to read the call of President Wilborn. This was done and then Mr. R.' T. C. Hunter was elected chairmaun and E. H1. Aull secretary. Dr. It. C. Carlisle moved that flve delegates. be elected and the motion was adopted. The following were elected: R. T. C. Hunter, .J. l. Johnstone, a. C. Car lisle, W. E. Lake and N. 11. Young. "hebollion" is perhaps quite as often a political virtue as it is a critne, and the "ltebel" a true patriot rather than a criminal. George Washington was a "Rebel." Nevertheless he is the idol h-ed father of his country, and his name and memory is respected and honored in all clvilized lands. Simon l3olivar was a "Rebel." But he was the liberator and typical hero of the South American Republis.. Garibaldi was imany times a "Rebel" and had high reward set on his head. Bu.
