On last Thursday night the new town council held its first meeting and the members were sworn in. Hart Caldwell told the convention hat he thought from the actions of the o11vention that his people were going ackward instead of forward, and that wenty-tive years of freedom had been f but little avail, and begged them to ehave themselves.
