The mnarriage will -be per formed at the home of the bride's par ents on Irby avenue at 8:30 o'clock with only a few friends and relatives p-esent. After the ceremony, from 9 until 11 o'clock, Col. and Mrs. Darling ton will give a reception in honor of the bride and groom. 0 o 0 The past week saw a round of eit tertainments in honor of Miss Claudia Darlington whose marriage to Mr. James C. Todd takes place this even ing. Wednesday morning Mrs. Hugh K. Aiken gave an elaborate flve-course luncheon in her honor at hel spac lous home on West Main street. The guests were 'invited at 1.1 o'clock and luncheok was served at noon. The house was -beautifully decorated for the occasion. The dining roon showed .a mass of sweet peas, the ta ble being lighted with candles and with a huge basket of sweet peas In the shape of a heart occupying thc center. After luncheon the guests re paIred to the parlor to join, in con versation. After the ceremony the young couple motored to Columbia to be entertain ed at luncheon, after which they were to leave on a bridal trip to Canada. The bride is a graduate of Chicora college and a very attractive young lady. The groom is a promi nent young business man of Volum bla.
