Columbus, 0., June 20.-With Gover
nor Cox confined to his bed at his
home near Dayton by illness, no offi
cial at the State capitol would express
himself authoritatively as to the gov
ernor's probable action in response to
the resolution adopted today by the
lower house of the general assembly
reiuesting the chief executive to take
steps to prevent the Willard-J em psy
prize fight in Toledo July 1. The gen
eral imnpression, however, is that Gov
ernor Cox will not Interfere.
Iieutenant Governor Brown stated
that he had no legal authority to act.
"The matter rests in the hands of
the governor", the lieutenant governor
said. Though no similar resoittion
was offered in the upper house, Lieut
Plnant Governor Brown stated he was
certain It Would have been defeated
had one beeni presented.
At the executive office it was stated
that the policy heretofore followed
