Ott, so to speak, is just getting on the band wagon, But the differ'ence bet ween Dr'. No'w, there are black sheep In the Press of this country as there are black sheep in every other profession, btut taken as a whole, It is uipr'ight, honest and sincere. Many of its wor'kers are idealists and dreamers, so much so that they eke out but a meagre living. Hap lily, however, the newspaper men are fast getting to be better business men. But, no doubt, Dr. Ott would say that he was referring to the "big dailies"; but he (id not. say so and if he had lie would have been just as far 'wrong. The big dailies are like the little ones, just a reflect.ion of the age In which they live, and we are not ready to say that this age Is any worse than the past. A few newspapers, no doubt, are bought and sold for ulterior mo tives, but they are few and short lived. The Press of today, large and small, is as worthy of the confidence of the peoile today as It has ever been, in spite of the war propaganda, govern ment censorship and a few yellow sheets aind when anyone attempts to shake this confidence, he is doing a grievous injury not only to the news paI'ers themselves bit to the public as well. 4SINTUSIX~l CONGRESS CONVENED 310NDAY (Continued from Page One.)
