You've made that answer, or some thing like it, haven't you? Well, (lid it ever occur to you that the lost sheep had the better logic on his side, and that you were repeating words that were without rime or reason? The church isn't much of an influ ence in a community. Church people are, for as a rule the most able men are Christians, and therefore church members. But, the church, as an institution, holds as much of evil as good, and all the world knows it. Therefore, the man whose heart is set on evil-the very man the church should reach out and claim-puts his fingers to his nose and tells you about the sins of Deacon Doe. No sanle man 'will (ispiute the very evident fact that the church is full of mien who cheat, steal, lie, curse, blaspieme, beat their debts, hate their follows and ixmore or less secretly fol low practices that they mlust in some inlcisitre collcea l ill order to remain cUlile tle cot"s. 0ou1 iltow Cllch nilembers and cLi'cllx lilcIals whxo te C rlllillit s, i(1o l t .
