On behalf of the graduating class Loiise Simmons presented to the school an E.dison Kinetoscope or "moving picture machine" to be used in school work. Instead of making a presentation speech, however, she took the opportunity to present a gold-handled knife as a parting gift to Mr. Jones from the graduating class. 'Mr. Jones expressed his thanks for the gift to himself in a few words and then for the school accepted the kinetoscope. While flowers and pros ents from friends were being brought in to members of the graduating class, Mr. Jones took the opportunity to tell of the uses to which the machine would be put and also went at length into some of the accomplishments of its great inventor. Prof. Barton then stepped forward and presented to Mr. .Jones, on behalf of the teachers, a gold watch -fob as a token of thlei love and to show their appreciation of his work at this school.
