wero married liore Saturday evening
at the home of the brldo'a father, Mr.
John Wells. The ceremony was per
formed by Itev. W. P. Turner In pre
sence of a number of relatives and
friends of the young couple. We ex
tend congratulations to these happy
?young people and wish them much
happiness and prosperity though life.
Miss Annie Moore of Donalds is
spending some time with her aunt

Mrs George Anderson of Coronaea
has been In the community for some
time visiting relatives at Cross Hill
and Mountvillo.
The Cross Hill teachers who at
tended the Teachers Institute at Lau
rens, returned with much praise for
the meeting and Wltlh inspiration for

Itev. W. I). Hatch ford went over to
Chester last week to see his sister who
litis been sick for some time.
Rev. J. A. Martlil has bought the
NoffZ place which was sold last sales
day and bid off by Mr. Davenport. This
property lies in the town of Cross
Hill and consists of seventy-live
acres of land woll improved with
necessary building, etc. It is there
fore; a valuable purchase.
Mr. W. T. Austin, we are glad to
state, Is still improving and hopes to
bo out again in a few days. His many
friends wll 1)0 glad to seo his smiling
face und enjoy his pleasant words as
of yore.
Mr. Luther Martin is adding a stock
of furniture* to his mercantile busi
ness and will compete for his share of
trade In this line.

This bright, little hoy was the Idol
of the home. Father and mother
lived for him and everyone who knew
him loved him dearly. lie had not
lived In vain. Ho set in motion, while
here, principles that will continue un
til all nr.- called home. We laid his
body to rest in the cemetery at Rabun,

ed the funeral services. Our hearts go
out to the bereft family and pray that
God will give them all the grace nec
essary to stand this trying ordeal.
Let God's people ever keep these heart
broken parents before Cod's throne in
prayer.
