I LOCAL AND PERSONAL MENTION. Miss Nellie Wallace is visiting friends In Atlanta, Ga. Mr. L. G. Itoff was among those who attended the corn show laat week. Mr. Lloyd Sexton was among those who attended the corn exposition last week. Mr. R. C. Reese, of the Brewerton section, was a visitor In the city Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Hunter, of j Owlngs station, were la the city shop ping Saturday. Mrs. R. F. Wade and little daugh ter, Estelle, of Cross Hill, are visit ing in the city. Miss Corrle Hart has returned to the city after a delightful visit of a lew weeks in Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Downey were j among those who went down for the corn exposition last week. Mrs. John H. Hicks has returned to tho city after spending several weeks with relatives in Allendale. Miss Alllcne Crews went down to Columbia Friday to visit friends and ] to attend tho corn exposition. Messrs. Fleming Jones and Vance Irby went down to the corn exposi-1 tlon Friday, returning next day. Misses Annie Laurie and Gertrude Tolllson, have roturned home after a pleasant visit with friends and rela tives in Columbia. Mr. O. B. Simmons. Dr. B. F. Posey and Mr. R. E. Babb left Friday morn ing for Columbia where they attended the corn exposition. Mrs. F. H. Calne, of Wlltmington, has been in the city for several days visiting her mother, Mrs. J. O. C. Fleming, and other relatives. Mrs. Ed Hart, after spending several weeks In the city with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Simmons, has re turned to her home In Oklahoma. Prof. E. H. Hall, of Clinton, was tamong those who attended the teach I crs meeting here Saturday. Prof. Hall is a very progressive teacher and conducts a very successful school at Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Langston, of Hamlet, N. C, have been visiting in the city for a few days. Mr. Langston returned Monday, but Mrs. Langston is still here visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Rlchey, Sr. Dr. O. C. Albright and Dr. T. L. Timnnerman attended the meeting of the Piedmont Dental association in Greenville Monday. Dr. Clifton Jones was on the program for a paper, but he was unable to attend. Mr. W. A. Young, son of Mr. J. H. M. Young of this county, who holds a responsible position with the street car company at Charlotte, N. C, has been visiting home folks for the past few days. He was In the city Friday visiting friends.
