His or her name, style of firm, name of company or corporation. 2. The trade business or profen3lon for which a license is required. 3. In those cases !n which such in formation is required, the amount of business of the previous year, upon which amount license shall be assess* ed. and In cases where business has not been carried on the previous year, then the amount of business expect* ? ed to be carried on during the cur rent year, and upon said amount the license shill be assessed, provided, however, that if such statement or re. turn herelnabove provided for is not satisfactory to the City Council or is not considered '.rue then the said City Council after notice given to the per -or, firm or corporation making said oath or statement or return shall take testimony and determine the true amount of business or basis upon which the proper amount of license I shall be fixed. Sec. 2B. The City Clerk shall there upon assesa the proper license tax as. provided for in this ordinance, and upon being paid -aid assessment, as herein require!, shall issue the prop er license Sec. 2C. For any business, profes sion or occupation not enumerated in the foregoing Section, the license i shall be fixed by the Mayor. Sec. 3. That all licenses issued un der and by virtue of this ordinance i shall be non-transferable and except licenses for a day, week or month, shall terminate on the 31st day of December of the year in which they J were Issued, but may be revoked at ; any time by the City Council of I-au rens for satisfactory cause. Except : licenses Issued for a day, week or month, annual rates shall be charged for all licenses issued between Janu ary 1st and June 30th of each year. Three.fourths annual rate shall be charged for all licenses issued b'tween \ July 1st and September 30th of each year, and half rate shall be charged I for all licenses issued between Oc tober 1st and December 31st of each year. Licenses are taken out for given time. In case licenses are not used full I time money will not be refunded. S*c. b. Any person or firm or cor poration carrying on or prosecuting any busness or running any establish ment named In the preceding sections of this ordinance without flm having i obtained a license therefor shall be fined, except in cases where penalties ! are otherwise Imposed, the sum of one dollar, or be imprisoned in the ci ty prison or county jail or city or county chaingang for a period of one day for each md every day such bus iness Is carried on without such li cense, in addition to the license tax. Such penalties, however, shall not exceed a fine of $30.00 or imprison ment for 30 days. Sec. 5, Any person, firm or corpora tion wilfully making any false or fraudulent return, where a return is required, shall upon conviction before the Mayor or City Council be fined not less than $20 or be imprisoned for not levs than 30 days, at the discretion of the Mayor or ( ity Council. Sec. C. No preaching, lecturing or speaking of any nature will be per. mitted on the streets of the city without a written permit from the Mayor. Bee. 7.
