Williams Thursday, till Monday. Mr. Hassell Miller of Whltmire come over Saturday for a visit to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Miller. Mrs. Des Schamps and Miss Netta Corbett of Maycsvllle are the guests of Prof, and Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Williamv Johnston, nee Miss Hhldona Owens, of North, came Thurs day for a visit to her people here. Mr. Andy Pinson and family of Greenwood county spent the week end with relatives in town. Mrs. Corrinenc Boyd came Saturday to visit the family of Mr. A. M. Hill. Mrs. A. M. Hill is in Richmond for treatment by a specialist. Her peo ple are apprehensive about her con dition. * Mr. .1. T. Ligon of Greenwood was in town Saturday. Mr. Benton Matthews is at home on account of the serious illness of >ils father, Mr. .1. V. Matthews. Mrs. S. 1.. Crisp is in Atlanta with her daughter. Mrs. Gussie McDonald who is quite ill Miss Simmons, a charming young lady, and teacher at Harris Springs, attended the Presbyterian Sunday school Sunday. A young lady came over from Clin ton on the train Saturday wearing a badge with "I am for Musgrove Coun ty" on it. She walked up to a Cross Hill man and pinned it on his coat and he walked around with the badge "1 em for Musgrove County". What Could be do but wear it when a pretty young lady pinned it on? Mr. D. A. Thunums has returned to the hospital in Atlanta where he has been being treated for quite a while. While out o possum hunting 8 few nights ago, Mr. J. W. Hill was pulled from his horse by a horse he was lead ing, which resulted in his arm being broken. Drs. Peak and Klough were called to his assistance. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mrs. J. C. Miller and Mis:? Ruth Mil ler visited in Cross Hill last week. Prof. B. A. Fuller's new house has been completed. It is a very pretty house and adds to the attractiveness of our town.
