WATTS MILL* ? ?Watts Mills. Oct. 28.?There was very good attendance at prayer meet' Ihr last Wednesday night. Itev. .Mr. Mel,in begun a series of meetings at Watta mills church last Sunday night. These meetings will probably continue through the week. Bro. Mel,in preached Sunday night from the text "Restore unto nie the Joys oT thy salvation*', found in the llfty-llst Psalms, from this text he drew three very important points First, that there Is joy in salvation; second, that this joy can be lost and third, that it may again be recovered. It is trusted thai the people will turn out at this meeting in great numbers to hear this servant of Ood deliver to a dying world the glad gospel message of the Son of (Sod. It is also hoped that during this week a meat revival shall break out in the hearts of every true believer and that hosts of sin ners may accept Mod's mercy and be saved. Mr. .1 .A. Mailer visited in Clinton last Saturday. Again last Saturday night at eight o'clock, the Watts mills company gave their employees another treat in the way of a concert company. At eight o'clock tin- auditorium was till ed to overflowing and all enjoyed themselves far over an hour listening to the tine music and sons- delivered by the Cosmopolitan Four. These en tertainments are certainly enjoyed by the people here, and they are cer tainly grateful to those who so kind ly engage toucs entertainers to come to Watts Mills During the past quite a number of these entertainments have been given and all of them were fine and the people always look for ward to the announcement of their coming. The Cosmopolitan Four, the Brat at traction of the lyceum course, was given at tse graded school Friday ev ening and was enjoyed by a fairly largely audience, which, by the way. the iadies expected to be larger. With the exception of the painful attempt at being funny, indulged in at odd times, the company g.tve a most credit able performance, one that would coin pare favorably with any of the lyceum numbers. The attraction was above the average and if the "backers" of the course continue to give as good num bers, doubtless the course this year will prove very enjoyable.
