Connor for Governor not Confirmed when Time Came for Filing Pledge*. Columbia, June 18.?The State cam paign will open today at Sumter. The time for filing pledges and paying the assessment expired yesterday at noon and the official list of entrants was announced by John Gary Evans, the State chairman. Practically every one who nnnounced his candidacy entered the race officially by paying the nec essary amount. The campaign will end In Greenville on August 22.
